The Fox Diary

The siblings exploring together.

The generations tonight. Mum and Dad and then the kits in and out of the hole in the side of the office. No Norman yet as I think these two are his sisters.

The adults are keeping an eye on them but the youngsters are learning how to collect eggs from the bowl now. Dad was out earlier to collect the chicken.

Still sharing food but they have to get in quick as the dog fox gets in before them.

These cubs are just adorable and have already worked out the food bowl even if the parents just leave them the kibble. They look healthy so I think they were fed a lot of the chicken by their parents but are now being taught to go it alone.

I love how they are an extended family group now.

I think Norman has a sister. See the clip of the three foxes running. Norman's the little guy but there's now a taller thinner cub too.

Foxes often lodge in parts of a Badger sett. Badgers can have these sets handed down a hundred or so years to each generation. Boris I think may be a landlord.
