The Fox Diary

Norman finally getting some biscuits. The mysterious hissing from the bird box continues. One of the females too.

Mother, aunty and little Norman.

Something is nesting in one of the boxes in the side of my office and it's hissing at me and the foxes. You see them flinch and look up here. The boxes have been up a couple of seasons so this is the first time Something has moved in. I'd love to know what but won't disturb as probably nesting.

I think Norman was asleep under my office.. Early scarper back to the den I hope..

Norman came out before I'd sorted the food. Very rainy night so he didn't bother again. Hopefully Mum, Dad and Aunty brought him some food.

Back at 3am and the bowls are empty.. He'll learn!

This is the new fella in action and nabbing some chicken with his mum. Those ears are fantastic! I'm in my music room so he can probably hear the music I've been playing all evening.

So I think mum is my favourite with the bite mark in her ear. Norm is learning to get the chicken from her. She's looking around protectively.

This is Dad. The male's have slightly wider domed heads and a slightly fuller brush (tail). He's also looking out for the little guy.

Much later.. coming back from a hunting trip with Dad.
